About Brah
Brah is an AI companion for emotional support, built around a simple observation: people do not have one big feeling about their life, they have a separate ongoing situation with each person in it.
What it is
Brah is an installable web app. You open it, pick who is on your mind, and talk. Each relationship gets its own Space with its own memory, so the conversation about your partner does not get mixed up with the one about your manager, and you are not re-explaining the backstory every time you come back.
It runs in the browser and installs to your home screen. There is no app store in the way, which also means no platform tax, which is part of how it stays at $5 a month.
What it deliberately is not
Brah is not a therapist, not a clinician, and not a crisis service, and it makes no claim to identify or address any medical condition. That is not hedging — it is the actual design constraint. Several US states now restrict AI systems that present themselves as providing clinical care, and we think the honest version is also the better product. What Brah offers is general wellness support: somewhere to think out loud.
If you are in crisis, the right thing is a human trained for it. In the US that is 988, by call or text, any hour.
On privacy
This category has a bad record. Several of the best-known names in it were penalised for sharing sensitive information with advertising networks after promising they would not. We designed around that rather than writing a careful policy about it: conversation content and anything inferred from it are never sent to an advertising or affiliate network, and no third-party ad tracker runs on any signed-in or conversational screen. You can export or delete everything from Settings.
